three songs i cannot get out of my head:

adrian lux - can't sleep

during exam time i actually feel like i can't sleep when the sun goes down. also, this video is really touching. everything about this song makes me happy.

florence + the machine - you've got the love

i've recently cultivated a new-found love for florence + the machine. her voice is beautiful. this song in particular is one of my favourites - kiss with a fist is also a good one; more aggressive and it shows her diversity.

drake - marvin's room

drake's new album take care is basically perfection. i can't stop listening to it, i'm obsessed. i really love how this song is constructed, if that makes any sense - the breaks with the voice on the telephone are pretty effective and interesting. and drake's voice, well let's not even go there.

rainy sunday, take two

it's sunday again
and of course it has rained all day
why why why

i have work to do
and rain turns me into the laziest person alive
i should not even be writing this post
instead i should be studying
or working on one of my two take-home exams
i hate school right now
and i hate the rain
i cannot wait until this is all over
i cannot wait for the holidays
but right now i am stuck doing work
this fucking sucks
anthropology is going to be the death of me

and this rant is now over
i should stop feeling sorry for myself
but that felt good
